Hmmm?
Poem Monday...........again.
When we’re closer to the Lord
The common faith that we share
Binds our hearts in one accord
For friendships last a life time
When built on Jesus Christ
Throughout each different season
We find we are in life
Friends are there through times of grief
And times when hope is gone
Always there with encouragement
So we can carry on
So thank the Lord for giving you
A true and faithful friend
To laugh with you, and cry with you
On whom you can depend
For friends will stay no matter what
Giving you support
And together your hearts truly unite
With the love of the Lord

Now for some humor!!!
The Perfect Girl
A friend asked a gentleman how it is that he never married ?
Replied the gentleman, "Well, I guess I just never met the right woman ... I guess I've been looking for the perfect girl."
"Oh, come on now," said the friend, "Surely you have met at least one girl that you wanted to marry."
"Yes, there was one girl .. once. I guess she was the one perfect girl .. the only perfect girl I really ever met. She was just the right everything .. I really mean that she was the perfect girl for me."
"Well, why didn't you marry her," asked the friend.
"She was looking for the perfect man," he said.

Morning Devotions
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways
No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. LUKE 9:62
He who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. HEBREWS 11:6 Let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tosses by the wind. For let not the man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord. JAMES 1:6-7 Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and that you will have them. MARK 11:24
No longer be children, tolled to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love,.....grow up in all things into Him who is the head; even Christ. EPHESIANS 4:14-15
Abide in Me. JOHN 15:4 Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. 1 CORINTHIANS 15:58
That last verse is sooo true. So many times our actions are based upon whether or not people are watching. If there is no one watching, phew, then why should I do it then?? Many of times we forget that there is an eye watching every thing we do and is much more important than what's- there- name on the street. We have to be mindful that everything we do is seen by God. And not just our actions but our attitudes too. So, the rest of the week do everything unto God with a JOYFUL attitude!!

Pears, pears and more pears
Canning has become such a lost art.........now it's just "Oh, you want canned fruit, Walmart has them on sale." It's too bad that people have gone down the convenience road. For one thing, it is a lot cheaper to can your own and second, you don't get all the chemicals that they put in store bought canned fruit. And in my opinion, homemade tastes a whole lot better!! Sure you have convenience, but people wouldn't need convenience if there was a mother who stayed home a prepared stuff like this for her family. Today, we took a day off of school to can, because my Dad wanted canned pears. And it was fun working with my Mom and sisters. But moms who work outside of the house wouldn't of been able to do that........
The ordinary arts we practice every day
at home are of more importance to the
soul than their simplicity might suggest.
~Thomas More
Which looks better??
This
or THIS??
Yummy!!
I think we canned about 20 quarts today!! But with a family of ten, it is not nearly enough!!

Roll dough out into rectangle (about 1/4 in. thick)

Poem Monday!!
The Love Of Jesus
Before Jesus was a full grown man,
He knew more knowledge and wisdom
than anyone in the land
People didn't believe Heaven was His kingdom.
As Jesus walked down the weary lane,
With blood dripping down His suntanned head
Carrying the cross which where He was to be slain,
Still loving the people who were going to have Him dead.
After He got to Calvary
The soldiers nailed nails into His hands and feet
Even though, He felt at peace
He told His people to rejoice not weep.
Even though He died that day
And was lain inside a tomb
He rose upon the third day
And showed everyone He was true!!
I wrote this poem a little while ago and thought I would share it with all of you. Do you like it??

It has been a loooong time........
Other then that, we made a couple forts out of branches and leaves. Since my brother is a Boy Scout, he likes (and is required) to do those kinds of things. I also enjoyed building them too......who would've known!!
Also, since I was up camping I wasn't able to do my Poem Monday. So, I decided just to do it today. Here is my poem for the week.....
To Do List From God
I ran my life in search of worldly things;
My time and will were firmly in control.
I thought I had no need for what God brings;
I gave no heed to murmurs from my soul.
“You’re planning, doing all the time,” it said,
“But something else is missing deep inside.
Your mind is whirling, but your heart is dead,
So turn to God and let go of your pride.”
I did, and God said, “Here’s My plan for you:
Give your life to Me, and just let go.
Have faith and pray, and read the Bible through,
And you’ll have blessings more than you can know.”
So simple, yet it brings me perfect peace,
Living life for God the way I should.
Direction, purpose, fullness and release—
Life with God is very, very good.
By Joanna Fuchs
This poem, mainly focuses on how much better and more peaceful life is when we move away from worldly things and closer to Jesus.
Christians who remember what their lives were like before being saved can relate to how this poem reveals how the worries of the world and our need to plan and control things can make life very difficult.
When we turn it all over to God, life becomes so much more peaceful and satisfying.
Just something to think about........

Fashionista time!!
Doesn't it just spell femininity!! The only drawback is that the front comes down pretty low, but like I said nothing that a undershirt can't fix!! It would look even cuter with these shoes to go with it....
Go and check out these neat clothing stores.........Let me know what you find.
Oh!! And this will be my last post for the week =(. You want to know why?? If you don't I'll tell you anyways, my family is going camping!! YEAH!! I'm sooo excited.....I'll post pictures when we get back. Have a good Labor Day weekend!! I'll sure miss you all.........=)
